It’s an uphill battle of wits, pride, and a whole lotta Neptunia guts! Grab the Survival Mode DLC, which unlocks a Survival Mode in the coliseum. Challenge yourself by defeating as many enemies as possible, but be wary! After each battle, you do not get HP recovery, so plan accordingly.

Wanna see who reigns supreme in survival mode? All survival mode records are stored on an online ranking system through Steam. High ranking individuals also receive additional rewards!

not sure what you're asking, they just added more DLC
you need the newer version of the game to use the DLC
3 dungeons, a character and all the survival mode stuff prob made the game bigger.

oh then yeah the save file should still work, it didn't change unless it's in the wrong path let me check...
my documents/ My Games/ Idea Factory/ neptunia rebirth1
should be there if it isn't already
save files are named data0000.sav, data0001.sav, etc if you need to search your computer for existing saves.

A quick question: there was a statement that there will be rewards for high ranking players.
Are non-Steam users exempt from this? Or are there rewards for getting to high numbers
in survival regardless of leaderboards.

that's a good question, i'll check right.... now.
...i got to wave 64 on the novice survival (I quit out because the enemies were doing 0 damage to me), it shows a checkmark on the battle like it's "done" and nope didn't get the rewards (3 weapons that say +2, at the end)
the ranking only shows me and a bunch of random glitch names or something below me.

just before anyone asks what else is new (same stuff was added to each rebirth game):
they added Uzume as playable (from neptunia V2)
they added 3 more dungeons, big
dungeon, small dungeon (higher exp gains on both), Lili dungeon (x5 lily
rank gains), and extra guild quests to fight "fake" goddesses
quests to gain faster shares (like 30% in a single quest)
and then the survival mode of three levels one being lv999 recommended
it's the same for all 3 rebirth games
(same character uzume, same three dungeons, same new guild missions)

stupidly fast turn based, i mean if you hold down L trigger fights literally take seconds, that's why i love compile hearts games
my problem with neptune U is that it was super super short,
the other two games, blanc vs. zombies, and 4goddesses online were worse IMO.
each of those game i finished within a day, let alone nep U i finished in a few hours
in comparison i spent over 100 hours on each of MK2 (ps3) victory (ps3) and V2 (ps4)

they also added dungeons to level up faster on top of the in-game exp up plans you can get among other things (party exp boosts, disc bonuses, etc)
hitting 999 is no long journey on these rebirth games

Compile Heart seems to like doing that type of shit. I beat the main story of Mugen Souls Z at under lvl. 100 but some of the endgame/DLC stuff had recommended levels all the way up to 9,999.

Mugen Souls Z is my Favorite game. I hit the stat cap just about for Ryuto. Got his health in the hundred millions. I forget what it was. I had him doing over 1 billion damage with one of his moves.

mugen souls was never about level numbers, i hit 999 multiple times (like 30 or so on chou chou alone) and was nowhere near capping out stats
Mugen souls Z had a faster stat gain design and even still took forever to cap out.
neither game holds a candle to Disgaea though, i hit lv9999 over 100 times in disgaea 4 (like 470 hours gameplay on my save file)
