Interesting.
Simulation games could probably actually help you in ways with real world careers and situations in life. Managerial or governance skills.
Its no secret that commercial pilots and the military have used simulations to practice for the real thing for decades.

I probably will never buy this after playing through it.
There is just no sense of urgency in everything you do, even if your peepz are unhappy they would do nothing about it.
no conflict, no strategy involved, no fun at all
its like those kiddy puzzles where you are just gated by that one thing you have to do, like walking and jumping in some games...
snooozed at the first 30min gameplay, devs probably just did this halfassed just to sell it to epic games....

I think the premise of the game is that the game begins when humans have consciously "evolved" (grown the hell up) and gotten OVER or PAST childish conflict to focus on BEING FIT to actually LEAVE their initial birthplace and expand out and experience more that the universe has to offer.

That's the idea, it's a peaceful strategy civ game. You're pushed to optimise to resolve your town's/island's/planet's needs, rather than suffer from catastrophic decisions. See what works and adapt instead! There is some urgency later in the game in the form of Whales if you don't want to lose swathes of your planet, and there's new patches with new content already as well. But to each their own!
