just finished 3 times to get the 3 endings all on legend difficulty
all that i have to say is its good but still need some polish in a few things,
and some serious more content, theres no boss rush, survival, unlockables, vs mode, etc.., with all that lacking is no wonder why the game is only 1.22 GBs installed
regardless it worth your time if you like beat em ups

good solid game , a bit hard at times but if it was too easy we'd still complain. and lets not compare every new beat em up to SOR4 and judge it on its own.

That launcher/installer nearly makes me skip this...
EDIT: OF f*cking course, the reasons why I normally hate this genre.
You stand on the same height as you enemy, can'T hit him, but he can hit you.
Since I'm not really a pro in this genre, I'm playing on the easiest difficulty... and the first boss sure as hell takes 1/3 of your health away, without much effort.
That's why I still prefer the SoR games and the River City games, they don't pull this crap on you, even on higher difficulties.
But yeah, it's an indietitle in 2021, so the difficulties are: Hard, Harder, Hardest, Impossible.
And yes, I AM whining about the difficulty, cause... what's the point in having them, if the easiest is still bullcrap.
If I wanna play a beat em up with bullshit difficulty, I play something on MAME...

What I don't like is that modern games have ARTIFICIAL difficulty.
It's like how so many games just raise the enemies health when you raise the difficulty. lol
Or Borderlands 3 enemies who are bullet sponges, etc.
They just use stupid tricks to make it more difficult, but not more fun in any way, quite the opposite.
Anyway, back to MAME beat'em up! (ever tried Violent Storm? Quite underrated!)

I'm not sure it's related.
Some indie studios got lots of money, but they're still officially indie.
Officially, Hero Concept is still an independent developer.
Kunos was indie at the time they made Assetto Corsa, for example.
Now they're not anymore cos they're financially backed by 505.

You absolutely won't believe what you'll find there.
"Zombie Army 4" for example.
"Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning" is supposed to be indie.
Fucking "We Happy Few", and you know why that's a lie.
"STAR WARS Episode 1 Racer" from the small indie team "LucasArts"...

When I think of Indie, it's basically everything that launches in Early Access.
Good, "GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon" kinda defeats this logic, but still.
It's basically every game which the players shape the game more than the devs, and the result is and unbalanced mess, cause:
a) it's shaped by speedrunners
b) everyone played the alpha/beta in and out and want it harder.

Yeah, and it doesn't change anything if stuff has more health... it makes everything just take way longer.
If the guns in Borderlands would feel weirder and morer powerful in higher levels, it wouldn't be so bad... but it's the same from start to finish, just with different numbers on screen.
That's why I love "Earth Defense Force" so much, cause with higher difficulties, the enemies get stronger and faster, and stronger types are mixed in way earlier.
Meanwhile, your rocket launcher doesn't have a 10m explosion anymore, it's 50m and the guns get crazier with each new difficulty.
That's also the main reason why "Dark Souls 2" is my favourite one... NG+ changes things up so new enemies spawn.
In Bloodborne for example, it's the exact same game again... just with higher numbers.
And nope, haven't tried "Violent Storm" yet, but I might check it out.
Took me long enough to get this thing to work, and it was mostly cause of "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs". ^^
