To counter a bit all of the comments below, the few reviews I read (not only on Steam) were mostly positive.
Also, to be fair, unlike what people think, Kemco doesn't always release bad games.
I would say it's 50/50, really. (For example, Legend of the Tetrarchs, Chronus Arc, or Antiquia Lost are pretty good.)
On a side note, the pixel art in this game is really lovely. 😍
Anyway, I'll give a try to this one.

Giving an opinion based on reviews of others is dumb. Play the game, or watch the gameplay videos and come with a proper argument instead of "it's good because 9 of ten reviews are positive", I've lived enough to play so many RPGs and myconclusion is this one is fine as one of them but don't bring anything new, and if they try to get into that they fall on the "it's a squeenix game copy"

HMmmm actually, I didn't give my opinion at all (except pixel art).
What I said was extremely clear : SOME Kemco games are good. Period.
I didn't even say this one was good, I haven't tried it.
I implied that since some of their games are good, and since most reviews for this one are good, then we shouldn't necessarily condemn all of their games.
So I'm giving it a chance and I'll try it later when I have time.
Me too, "I've lived enough" because I'm in my late 30s, and I've played countless RPGs since the early 90s, so I'm usually quite demanding when it comes to RPGs.

Nice RPG, can't say it's shit because all current RPG suffer from one issue or another. The first issue on current RPGs is character classes, after many years of playing you get used to the classic FF1-4 layout characters, balancing their strengths and skills then you get their advanced class. The second issue is getting an original story, some people can say the golden age of videogames gave us very good fantasy stories that makes you empathetic towards any of those characters (Lucca, Rydia, Lans Hamilton and Angela are fine examples on their own games). The third issue is world map, you at first need to wrap the fantasy world on your RPG and holding hands at the same time with the story you're presenting, a fine example of this is Seiken densetsu 3, even if you choose different characters the story wraps up perfectly with the rest of characters, pretty much when you're selling an RPG you're offering also a book inside a game, that makes the genre enjoyable, not a grind simulator like Disgaea.

True, that's why you check the publisher. If it's kemco, it's an automatic no.
