Hello! Could somebody help me? I am trying get Sakura Wars running. I have installed the files, but the game doesn't want to launch for me. I tired running the game in compatability mode but with no effect. Help?

For anyone crashing after the first animation, here is a fix.
Disclaimer: I haven't tested this (I have had someone follow this and have it work though) so if anything happens I take no responsibility. Follow this suggestion at your own risk.
I can't link to another place that distributes games so I'll give you hints about how to get to something that might help.

Google 'CDdrawFunc::ShowWindow Fails sakura wars'
There should be a result that links to a Russian forum with heading 'Sakura Taisen / Sakura Wars / Войны Сакуры [Акелла] [Sega][VN/TRPG'.
Use google translate and go to page 14 of that thread. Someone has summarised the instructions to fix the game crashing after the cutscenes.

This game version is released on PC, you don't Need the emulator for play! but the only thing you need is OS Windows 7 or before, because this game is released for Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP! Use the Compatibility mode in Win 7! (This game not Function in Windows 10) I have not tested in Windows 8! Use this mode in all Sakura Wars games! the Compatibility mode, and enjoy!
This game does not have an English version, but has a group in a forum that started a translation! I do not know to what part they translated, but already has about four years they started!
