I tried the update for V1.1.2.1 for several times, but it shows that it contain a virus or potential unwanted software, it shown as trojan on window defender.

I downloaded the file from Mega link.

You see the name of this release "The World of Kungfu Dragon and Eagle-TENOKE", it's not mine, I just re-uploaded it from SCENE, in this case the TENOKE team (you don't need to search their website, since it's not public on the internet, websites you find are known to fake and use the names of groups at SCENE).

What is Scene? you should search the wiki and google about this, they will explain it better than me. In general, the scene is decades old, certainly older than you (and me). It is completely safe. All the pirates you download from the internet, including movies, games, software,... are mostly leaked from the Scene.

When you download a game (or anything that comes from Scene) from sites like IGG, you can easily check the legitimacy of the file you downloaded. By using database sites taken from the scene, for example https://www.srrdb.com/browse/category:pc/order:date-desc/1,... You use tools like 7z, to check the file's HASH code, and match it with information from those web pages. If the hashes match, you are completely safe, and vice versa.

I did a couple times like 3 days ago and some time before that, just wait and hope they do at some point, might just have to wait a while. Fitgirl has had it in upcoming repack for a while, so fact it here day 1 is pretty good and maybe once fitgirl gets it, it will be most updated and updated here.

There is supposedly 50% of the game available in the EA version(this version), not far enough to confirm if you can playthrough far enough to use new game+, but it sounds like you can.
The translation isn't to bad, but does suffer from it written originally in chinese, with the chinese characters taking up less space, meaning the boxes in the UI are often to small for english words. Meaning words like willpower become POW. There are also some words that aren't consistant over multiple screens(there is a stat called Kungfu in the lv up screen, but on the character screen i believe it is called Core).

Kungfu can only be learned with a skill book equipped. Repeatedly using a skill gives no actual XP to that kungfu, only to the kungfu equipped.
You don't seem to need a weapon equipped to use specific kungfu, it just gives you more dmg when using kungfu of a certain type.
POW(willpower) affects the max lv of any kungfu you can learn. Note kungfu all have set max lvs, so even if your POW is higher it will not allow you to lv it more(a lot of the early skills have a max of 9).
The game has a random encounter system similar to pokemon, enemies will attack in long grass and dungeons(the encounter rate doesn't seem very high).

STM(stamina) affects how many kungfu you can learn total. So be careful when learning new kungfu. There is a planned feature to forget learned kungfu(and all the bonuses connected to it), but it is not implemented in this version

Anyone know how to fix the game being blocked when the enemy / second PC get their turn at the starting temple?

EDIT: Go around it but now I'm stuck at the 'There's enemy in the grassland!' message when you leave the temple. Help.

I don't remember that message, but its like pokemon, enemies can attack you in the tall grass, same with dungeons. Its not super high and there isnt a ton of grassy areas so i never found it annoying.
